Sometimes the simplest images are the best.  This is a shot from my shoot today with Skye Silverwolf, a model from the area (originally from the Fraser Valley, then Victoria, then back here).  Just sitting on the beach with a little camera.  Beautiful.

Incidentally this is with my new favourite lens, the Pentax FA Limited 43mm/1.9, an absolutely gorgeous lens from the film days which I’m slowly falling in love with.

I watched this video from Jerry Ghionis, famous and fancy wedding photographer, talking about how to lose any light at any time, even direct sun at high noon.  Worth the watch if you’re interested in learning your lighting a bit more.
