When they say that pregnant women have a “glow,” it’s really not a cheesy thing that people say, they really do.  I met Juanita several years ago on a model shoot and she was one of the smiliest, happiest people I’ve ever met, and she only got moreso when she got pregnant.  I shot her seven month maternity photos and she had this insane crazy (and I can’t call it anything else) glow about her, and it only got more powerful when I shot her at nine months.

All the photos were taken just in her apartment, which for a little place in Surrey, had a great variety of styles to shoot in (at least for a creative photographer).  She’s got the great full length windows which, while they’re a hot pain in the butt in the heat of summer, create the most gorgeous natural light.

It seems crazy, but the baby is now almost six months old… insane how fast time goes.  Part of the joy of my job is being able to capture that slice of time for people to savor and look back on.
