So yes, most of the posts here are more “artsy” in nature. Pretty models, photo shoots, and the occasional deep thoughts about photography, modelling, or tools to helpout one of the above.
Instead today I’d like to tell you while I was taking some pictures of the roses in my front walkway. They’re very nice, and I thought that backlit by the setting sun it might make a nice picture. So when I got home from work I pulled out my camera and wandered out to the front yard and started shooting. A gentleman walking a pair of young puppies (no, not a euphemism) came down the street and passed by. Being that I had gotten home, my cat Rex, was outside giving me the love and attention that I so deserved (read: “get your ass inside and give me the gooshy food). Rex doesn’t like dogs. Rex really doesn’t like strange dogs.
This guy let his dogs get close to Rex, not in a mean way of course, more a “you guys want to sniff the nice cat, I’ll give you a bit of leash to let you learn a lesson” way. So Rex basically ignores the dogs as they get close, knowing they’re on a leash. Until they get a bit too close. Then he attacked, rightfully putting those canine beasts in their place. I managed to catch a picture of it at that moment (note that the motion blur is the cat going forwards and the dogs going backwards).
The guy was fine with it, agreeing with me that they “needed to learn” (the dogs were two 8 month old sisters, very sweet and cute dogs actually) and went on his way.
The look on my cat’s face would say it all I think 🙂
